A Feminist Joke

Seriously though man, go! Leave women alone.

This is one of my favorite feminist jokes. I also love mangos lol.

In the fight for female liberation, finding ways to cope is important. Humor can be a great way to move through a world designed to keep women down.

When reflecting on this joke I think of the bullshit manipulations from men who “threaten” to leave women alone, knowing that women have been demanding this for centuries because of male violence. These empty “threats” are meant to deflect their true goals: to continue to exploit women.

It’s the classic DARVO tactic of abusers: Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender. Anytime a man tries to use these tactics against you, state the problematic behavior, state your boundary, and then end communication. Don’t give them any time or space to debate. If they try to, get away from them (walk away, leave, go to a different room, etc.).

We have the right to exist autonomously in the world. Don’t ever let anyone convince you otherwise.
