Socialization is the process by which we’re trained to behave that is enforced by fathers, mothers, siblings, relatives, friends, neighbors, media, government, corporations, etc. And each part holds responsibility in the perpetuation of male supremacism. Supremacism isn’t innate, it’s culturally created and enforced. Which means we have a way out of the destruction of male supremacy.
✍️ Journal Reflection Prompt:
In what ways has male (and female) socialization effected your life?
How do you work to reduce the effects of gender socialization on your life?
