The Female Separatist Manifesta by Sasha S. Graham

Male aggression has really ramped up since Donald T. got in office. ICE raids are racially profiling people and rounding them up, holding them against the law. So many women and men in my organizer community are terrified. I’ve been busy compiling resources and doing every little bit I can. Many of my female friends and melanin-rich friends are struggling to pretend things are ok while sexists, racists, and ableists grow louder and louder. Simultaneously I’m seeing disturbing justifications for dehumanization by some who were riding hard on the “gender critical” bandwagon. Its really got me thinking about the intersections of sex separatism and race separatism; an area of analysis I plan to dig into more down the road. For me, I’m still deciding my beliefs on all forms of separatism. There are many tenets I agree with, then others that I still question. I use separatist analysis to help me reduce my interfacing with anyone from an oppressor class as well as their systems, and I’m grateful for these tools.

I’m so excited to learn about the female separatist manifesta by Sasha S. Graham aka @sistaseparatist. At a time when things feel so hopeless, it’s comforting to see her feminist commitment, energy, and guiding light. Can’t wait to dig into this ASAP. Adding it to my reading pile for the weekend, including my copy of Jill Magazine @jill_magazine magazine! It‘s funny in a nerdy way the giddiness I felt when both publications came into my hands. But then what are feminists but a bunch of brainy dorks lol?!? JK I only speak for myself, proudly so:)
